Garry Maddox, Sr. debuted with the Giants in 1972, hitting .266 with 12 home runs and 58 RBIs. After three seasons with the Giants, Maddox moved to the East Coast in 1975 and joined the Philadelphia Phillies, where he played until his retirement after the 1986 season. Maddox hit .285 over his career and won 8 Gold Glove Awards. Grey flannel jersey with black and red stripe trim around neck and cuffs. On the inside back collar is "Maddox" in script embroidered in black. Across the front of the jersey is "SAN FRANCISCO." On the back of the jersey is the player number "31." All lettering and numbering is done in black on orange tackle twill. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
