The recent passing by Mike Piazza of Johnny Bench on the all-time list for home runs as a catcher on reminds us how great Bench truly was at the plate. He signed this 1970s era bat in black marker with "HOF 89" inscription which rates a 6. Red rack marks from the Cincinnati dugout can be found on the handle. Light pine tar remains on the handle.
