The "Sweet Swingin' Billy from Whistler" found himself inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 1987 after 16 seasons with the Chicago and a final two with Oakland. This bat is referenced from his last two years with the Cubs, where he continued to produce, a consistency found throughout his career. Ball hit marks on nearly the entire barrel make this an outstanding example of a Billy Williams gamer. His number "28" is written on the knob end in black marker, with blue rack marks scraped into the barrel sides. A light coat of pine tar is still on the upper handle from heavy use. The handle is cracked, with six nails added to preserve it in one piece. Tape has been removed from this area.
