Typed letter dated April 26, 1978 to author Marty Appel, signed in black ink by legendary HOFer Ted Williams. Letter reads "Dear Marty, I'm really pleased to get your book and honored to be in it. Just from glancing through it, I'm sure it is going to become a best seller and certainly hope it is everything you wish it to be. Many thanks again and kindest personal regards, Sincerely, Ted Williams." Also included is the book referenced, a 1977 oversized illustrated hardcover with dust jacket entitled "Baseball's Best, The Hall of Fame Gallery" by Marty Appel and Burt Goldblatt.
