Although Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig are the most famous "barnstormers," they were certainly not the only Major Leaguers to engage in the practice. This vintage Boy's League baseball is signed in blue ink by 14 members of a 1928 barnstorming tour. Signatures include HOFer Mel Ott (signed "Melvin Ott"), Babe Herman, George Sisler, Freco Thompson, John McGraw (signed "J.J. McGraw"), Art Nehf, Bill Doak, Jesse Petty, Del Bissonette, Jim Wilson (sweet spot), Pat Malone (sweet spot) and two others. Ball is toned with signatures that grade an 8-9 overall. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
