Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Jimmie Foxx were three contemporaries that were possibly the greatest hitters of all time. Both Ruth an Foxx are members of the 500 Home Run Club, with Gehrig missing by a mere seven. All three were lifetime .300 hitters, all have over 2,600 hits, over 1900 RBIs, and the list goes on. Ruth and Gehrig combined for eight World Series Championships, with Foxx contributing two more. Immortalized in the Hall of Fame, these three sluggers took the art of hitting to a higher level. Icons in their own time, they are still remembered today as unbelievably talented stars in the golden age of baseball. This red and blue stitched "Babe Ruth Home Run Special" baseball is signed in black fountain pen by Babe Ruth on the sweet spot, Lou Gehrig and Jimmie Foxx. Ball is deeply toned with some staining and has been shellacked. The Ruth and Gehrig signatures grade a 6, the Foxx is light and grades a 3-4. On the side panel is an inscription in black fountain pen, author unknown, and is illegible except for the year "1934." Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
