Arriving in Atlanta in a trade with the Yankees in August of 1995, outfielder Luis Polonia was just in time to help win a championship. With four RBIs in the World Series versus the Indians, Polonia helped bring home the World Series trophy for the first time since 1957. This 1995 World Series trophy was presented to Polonia. Just over a foot tall at the highest flag, the trophy features a gold crown atop an arc centerpiece over a silver baseball, surrounded by 28 gold flags with black lettering on stanchions, one for each Major League team. The two World Series teams' press pins are mounted on small poles on the 7" diameter black base, in front of the silver baseball. The surrounding gold band reads "World Champions, Atlanta Braves, 1995, Luis Polonia." There is a Balfour manufacturer's sticker underneath the base. In overall EX condition, there is some minor oxidation on the top of the silver baseball and arc, as well as some chipping of the black paint on the top rear of the base. This trophy comes directly from Luis Polonia, our representative personally acquiring it from him.
