Program scorecard from opening day at Fenway Park, April 17, 1934, Red Sox versus Washington Senators. The program is historically significant in that during the 1933-1934 off-season, Fenway Park had undergone major renovations, with all of the wooden grandstands having been replaced with concrete and steel. A major fire on January 5, 1934 destroyed most of the park along with what had already been replaced, but the entire construction finished in time for the season opener. The cover of the program highlights the "New" Fenway Park. The program is in EXMT-NRMT condition with light overall wear and all complete. The scorecard has been scored in pencil and the entire program is tightly bound.
