Jackie Robinson joined the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947, breaking baseball's color barrier and bringing the Negro leagues' exciting style of play to the major leagues. An original 1957 wire photo shows Jackie leaving Ebbets field for the last time with bat and duffel bag. The photo measures 8" x 10" and is in overall EX condition. Also included is an original 1956 wire photo of Jackie trying on his first baseman mitt after learning that he had been traded to the Giants. The back of this photo has a reference date stamp "DEC 17 '56". The photo measures 7" x 9" and is in overall EXMT condition.
