The Yankees and the Red Sox have played each other many times over the past two seasons. In the 2003 playoffs, the Yanks beat the Red Sox thanks to walk off home run by Aaron Boone. In 2004 the Red Sox did the unthinkable by coming back from down 3-0 to beat the Yankees and advance to win the World Series. This year, the Yankees and Red Sox expect to meet again in the playoffs.
