Many Major Leaguers in the first half of the 20th century used "Kren's Special" bats. They were produced in a Syracuse, NY factory founded by German immigrant Joseph Kren, who had honed his skills on the lathe in the 1890s. Although the business ended with Kren's passing in 1953, as his sons had no interest in continuing the enterprise, entrepreneur and baseball enthusiast Bob Ross recently purchased the Kren logo and has begun to reproduce bat racks based on the original designs. To spot a Kren, look for the distinctive diamond logo in the middle of the bat. This Kren's reproduction bat rack has been stained in a rich mahogany and finished with a thin coat of lacquer. The original Kren's logo has been hand engraved in the top of the rack, further enhancing its vintage visual appeal. There is no better way to display your treasured collection of game-used bats.
