This Schutt official base was used as third base at Bank One Ballpark during Game 1 of the World Series on October 27th, 2001 between the Yankees and the Diamondbacks. Arizona ace pitcher Curt Schilling continued his fantastic postseason throwing seven strong innings with eight strikeouts. Luis Gonzalez homered and drove in two runs as the Diamondbacks stunned the Yankees, 9-1. The base shows tremendous use and has been signed across the top in black marker by pitcher Curt Schilling with inscription "AZ 9 NY 1 - Game 1 - 8Ks" rating an 8. There is a "Yankees" and "Diamondbacks" logo plaque on two sides and a "MLB" logo plaque on the other two sides. Underneath the base there are two official "MLB" hologram stickers, "LF Arrow" and "WS Game 1 Set B 3B" written in black marker. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication and a Steiner Sports COA.
