This Schutt official base was used as third base at Yankee Stadium during game seven of the ALCS on October 20th, 2004 between the Yankees and the Red Sox. At 12:04 am on October 21st, Ruben Sierra hit a groundball to second baseman Pokey Reese, who threw to first baseman Doug Mientkiewicz to finish the greatest comeback in the history of baseball. The Red Sox won 10-3, becoming the first team in MLB history to win a seven-game series after being down three games to none. The base shows tremendous use and is signed across the top in black marker by 27 of the Red Sox players and personnel including Mirabelli, Schilling, Roberts, Arroyo, Foulke, Nixon, Varitek, Millar, Epstein, Martinez, Damon and Youkilis, rating from 5 to an 8. There is an "2004 ALCS" logo plaque on two sides and a "MLB" logo plaque on the other two sides. Underneath the base there is an official "MLB" hologram sticker, two "Steiner" hologram logo stickers and "3A POLE" written in black marker. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication and a YSC COA.
