An official Cal Ripken retirement base (not used) with the Ripken "1981-2001" retirement logo painted on the top of the base. On the sides of the base are the Baltimore Orioles logo, the MLB logo, and two sides have the Ripken "8". The base is autographed boldly in black marker rating a 9. Cal Ripken has added the date of his last game "10-6-01" to his signature. A Steiner hologram is affixed. Also included in this lot is a nicely signed 16 x 20 photo of both Cal Ripken, Jr. and Derek Jeter. Both players have signed this photo in blue marker with the signatures rating a 9. A Steiner hologram is affixed. The base and the jersey are each accompanied by a Steiner Sports COA and by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
