In Joe Louis' second film "The Fight That Never Ends", Louis played himself as a fighter having a positive influence on a group of Harlem kids tempted to go bad. A brief appearance by the Mills Brothers added some musical flavor and Ruby Dee, star of the stage hit Anne Lucasta, makes her film debut. In between service in the Army during WWII, Louis continued to box. He defended his title a total of 25 times from 1937 to 1949, was a world champion for just about 12 years, and retired leaving his title vacant. Louis set records for longevity as a world champion non-stop, a record still standing. This lot features eight original black & white lobby cards of the film "The Fight That Never Ends" measuring 11" x 14". The cards show eight different scenes from the movie and vary in condition from VG-EX to EX-NRMT.
