This vintage 16" coffin handle was issued to the set of the 1931 Bela Lugosi classic "Dracula," for use in background scenes. Framed over red velvet in a 24" x 24" shadow box with a "Dracula" lobby card, the handle was stored in Studio archives since the production was completed. It is not known if the apparent wear on the handle is due to age or purposeful weathering by the manufacturer. Accompanied by a letter from the Hollywood Prop Supply Company.
