The original film version of "Frankenstein" was released in 1931 and starred Boris Karloff as "The Monster." Unlike its modern day remakes, this early "talkie" is a masterpiece of brevity and minimalism and its use of dramatic closeups was years ahead of its time. This original "grave cross" movie prop was used in the classic 1931 "Frankenstein" film and measures 10" x 15". It has been nicely set on a red velvet background housed inside a 15" x 19" frame. Accompanied by a LOA from Ellis Props/Graphics and the original yellow item tag from the prop company.
