One of the finest Clint Eastwood prop weapons extant, this 1800s Remington New Model Army .44 caliber single shot revolver was used by Eastwood in the classic 1976 western "The Outlaw Josey Wales." It was used in the saloon scene where Eastwood says, "Dyin' ain't much of a livin', boy," after which Eastwood pulls this gun out of his belt and shoots the bounty hunter. Once a real working firearm, this pistol was reconstructed into a non-firing gun with a plugged barrel for use in the film. The pistol is in EX-MT condition with light overall wear and some abrasions, it is not known if this is due to usage or reconstruction. Cloth carrying case included. Comes with a certificate from the Ellis Prop Company.
