Alexander The Great, who lived from 356 to 323 BC, had conquered most of the known world before his 30th birthday. This silver drachma was minted in the 336-323 period of Alexander's life (when he reigned as King), and features the head of Herakles wearing a lion's scalp on the front, and an enthroned Zeus with eagle and sceptre on the back. Measures 5/8" in diameter and encased in a 14K gold pendant. Grades Very Fine.
