Commonly referred to as "Legal Tenders" because of their stated payment obligation, these notes were issued in eight Series', with this Scofield-Gilfillan note being issued in the sixth (1880) Series. Featuring a portrait of George Washington in the center, the note is overprinted with a large brown seal on the right with red serial numbers. Grades Fine-Very Fine.
