Large sized $2 Silver Certificates were issued for four Series, with this Tillman-Morgan note being issued in the third (1896) Series. Part of the "Educational Series," the face design shows an allegorical figure representing "Science presenting steam and electricity to commerce and manufacturing." The portraits on the back are of American inventors Robert Fulton and Samuel Morse on the right. This rare note is overprinted with a small red seal on the lower right and blue serial numbers. Grades Extra Fine.
