Often referred to as the "Black Eagle," the center face of this (fourth) Series 1899 Teehee-Burke $1 silver certificate features a flying bald eagle with the flag in its talons, representing the stability of the United States. Three variations were produced, this one is overprinted with a small blue seal on the lower right, with the series date printed to the right of the seal. There are two vertical folds in the bill, which have flattened out nicely. Grades Almost Uncirculated.
