With the exceptions of Rolls Royce, Vulcan and a few other manufacturers, car companies originally remained aloof of the "automobile mascot." This 6 1/2" Rolls Royce chrome 1914 "Spirit of Ecstasy" mascot has been mounted to a 6 1/2" x 5" pink depression glass ashtray. The mascot's surface is quite smooth and appears to have been re-chromed or after-market. Also included in this lot is a 12" glass bottle inside of which is a 6" x 2 1/2" glass Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. These were given by Rolls Royce to their customers upon the purchase of their first RR. Other than a broken front headlight which remains in the bottle, this item is in NRMT condition with wood stand.
