1930 Ford "Quail," unknown "Winged Goddess" (possibly Cadillac), unknown two-tone "Swan" (possibly Packard) and unknown "Duck" with "Lady" (possibly Packard). Four have been mounted to wood bases. They show varying degrees of pitting, which is the main aging condition of hard chrome. Chrome is generally plated over steel, but needs oxygen to retain its brightness; when it "pits" it is actually pulling away from its substrate, but can easily be re-plated.
