This circa 1930s vintage red fire hydrant was manufactured by the Chapman Valve Manufacturing Company of Indian Orchard, MA. It stands 26" tall, its body and bonnet having been professionally repainted in its original red with silver valve caps and black link chain. Embossed vertically between the valves is "Chapman," and again on the opposite side. Above the opposite "Chapman" is embossed "4 ½" indicating valve cap size and "88" indicating the model designation. On the top is embossed "Open" and "Chapman" with directional arrows. In overall NRMT condition. A great present for your dog! This item will be expensive to ship.
