This circa 1940s neon sign ostensibly once hung in the shop window of a beach umbrella store. Housed in a stamped metal frame measuring 21" wide x 14" tall, there is a rectangular glass measuring 9" x 16" which is surrounded by a red neon rectangular tube that works perfectly. On the glass is glued "Cunningham Kool Shades," in gold painted wood letters ("Cunningham" is one carved piece). There are also two multicolored plastic half umbrellas glued to the glass, giving a three dimensional effect. The metal housing is painted red with gold stripe accents attached, in the art deco style. On the back is the electric mechanism and plug. In overall EXMT condition.
