This vintage 1940s porcelain sign for Philip Morris cigarettes measures 23" x 41" and features the famous Johnny Roventini, the bellhop from the hotel New Yorker who became the "Call for Philip Morris" bellhop. Made by the Stout Sign Company in St. Louis, this piece of history is in MINT condition in its original vibrant red and yellow. Roventini was replaced in the 1950s by a dancing cigarette pack and afterward he retired to Brooklyn.
