This red and blue stitched "Babe Ruth Home Run Special" baseball is signed in black fountain pen by 23 New York Yankees, predominantly the 1934 team which was Ruth's last year. Signatures include Babe Ruth on the sweet spot, Lou Gehrig, Ben Chapman, George Selkirk, Russ Van Atta, Myril Hoag, Lefty Gomez, Red Ruffing (signed "Chas Ruffing"), Art Jorgens, Joe Sewell (1931-1933), Frank Crosetti, Johnny Murphy, Jack Saltzgaver, Tony Lazzeri, Red Rolfe, Don Heffner, Bill Dickey, Dan MacFayden, Sam Byrd, Jimmie DeShong, Dixie Walker, Johnny Allen and one other. Ball is toned with a coat of shellack that shows some cracking. Signatures grade an overall 5-6, with the Ruth grading a 6 and the Gehrig grading a 5.
