What more could any boy have asked for on Christmas than to have the idolized Babe Ruth sign and personalize a baseball to him? Perhaps the most popular baseball player of all time, Ruth's name continues to inspire to this day, as his name is synonymous with baseball. Although he played 70 years ago, no other athlete can claim that his name is as well known now as in his playing days. This rare ONL Frick baseball has been single-signed and inscribed in black fountain pen on the side panel by The Babe, reading "To my good friend Bobby Heilman, From Babe Ruth." On the opposite side panel, Ruth has written "Dec. 25th, 1935." This ball is extraordinary not only because Ruth notes his Christmas greetings on it, but it is also signed and dated during the last year in which Babe Ruth played Major League Baseball. The ball shows light, even toning, the signature and inscriptions grade a 9. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
