The "Bambino" and the "Iron Horse." Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig were the mainstays of the great Yankee teams of the 1920s and 1930s. It is unlikely that such a dynamic duo will ever be seen again. During the famed 1927 season, Ruth and Gehrig set records for teammates in home runs (107) and RBIs (339), and hit back to back homers five times that year. In the 1928 World Series, Gehrig batted .545 and Ruth hit .625. They also shared the home run crown in 1931, with 46 each. This red and blue stitched unofficial baseball is signed in black fountain pen on the side panel by Babe Ruth and on the opposite side panel by Lou Gehrig. The ball shows heavy wear and scuffing with unexplained abrasions, with the Gehrig signature grading a 7 and the Ruth signature barely visible, grading a 2. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
