Lou Gehrig teamed up with Babe Ruth to become baseball's most devastating hitting duo ever. "The Iron Horse" had thirteen consecutive seasons with both 100 runs scored and 100 RBIs. Gehrig was the first baseball player in history to have his number retired, his number "4" being retired on July 4, 1939, two months prior to his untimely death. This is a cut measuring approximately 3/4" x 2-1/2" that is signed by Gehrig in black fountain pen rating a strong 8. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
