Gil McDougald spent all 10 seasons of his pro career for the New York Yankees. He played in eight World Series, winning five of them. McDougald was the 1951 AL Rookie of the Year. On the left front left tail of the jersey is the "Wilson" manufacturers tag with the jersey size "40" and wash instructions on it. Inside the back collar is a strip tag with "McDougald ' 58" embroidered on it. Across the front of the jersey is "NEW YORK." On the back is the player number "12." All lettering and numbering is done in navy blue felt. There is an autograph in blue marker rating a 7 on the left front tail of the jersey. The jersey shows game use. The "NEW YORK" on the front is original, however the "12" on the back has been restored. Otherwise, the jersey appears to have no alterations of any kind.
