The 6'2" Michael was dubbed "Stick" for his long, lean look. Not known for his bat, he remained the everyday Yankee shortstop for five years because of his smooth glovework and heads-up play. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Spalding" manufacturer's tag. Attached to that is a size "42" flag tag. Embroidered below that tag is "70" for the year. On the inside back collar is a strip tag with "Michael" embroidered on it. On the left breast is the "NY" logo. On the back is the player number "17." All lettering and numbering is done in navy blue felt. There is an autograph and "The Stick" in blue marker rating an 8 on the front of the jersey. The jersey shows game use. The "NY" on the front is original, the "17" on back has been restored. Otherwise, the jersey appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
