After a stellar playing career in which he was the 1953 World Series MVP, Billy Martin returned to manage the Yankees in 1975. Within a year the Yanks had won the pennant, and subsequently back-to-back World Series Championships. On the inside back collar of this circa 1976 Billy Martin Yankees manager's jacket is the "ALADEN" manufacturer's tag. Attached to that is a flag tag with the jacket size "38" on it. On the left breast of the jacket is the "NY" logo in white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the embroidered official "Yankees" logo patch. The jacket shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a copy of a letter from the auctioneer and chairman of the "New York Yankees 65 Roses Sports Club," who actually won this Billy Martin Jacket at a charity auction in the early 1980s. This jacket was consigned directly by the New York Yankees to that charity event.
