In the 1976 Series, won by the Yanks, Munson hit .529 and set a World Series record with six straight hits. The 1976 AL MVP hit .357 with three home runs and 22 RBIs in 30 post season games. On the inside back of the headband is the "New Era" manufacturers tag. To the right of that are a few threads only remaining from the additional manufacturers tag that had the hat size on it. On the front of the cap is the official Yankees "NY" logo embroidered in white. a signature in silver marker rating a 7 on the top of the bill. The cap shows light game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The cap is stuffed with the original December 21, 1982 newspaper, the day it was obtained from the Yankee Clubhouse.
