DON ZIMMER has had a long history in the game of baseball. The Dodgers' second baseman in the 1955 World Series, Zimmer also spent two productive years with the Cubs and was an original New York Met. He later went on to an illustrious managing and coaching career, most recently with the Yankees and Devil Rays. This is Don Zimmer's 1998 NY Yankees game-used World Series road knit jersey. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic Diamond Collection" manufacturer's label with size "48." Attached is a white flag tag with material "100% Polyester." Adjacent is a white patch with "Zimmer 98." Across the front of the jersey is "New York" done in blue on white tackle twill. On the back is the coach's number "50" done in blue on white tackle twill. On the right sleeve is the official "1998 World Series" patch. The jersey shows some use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a letter from Yankees-Steiner Collectibles.
