ANDY PETTITE was a key member of the 1999 World Series championship team. He won 14 games during the regular season and started Game 3 at Yankee Stadium in the World Series. Pettitte has won 149 career games wearing a Yankee uniform. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Russell" manufacturer's size 48 tag with wash instructions on it. Below that tag is the "PETTITTE-99" year tag. Attached to the "Russell" tag is an additional manufacturer's flag tag with "100% POLYESTER" and an additional "2" extra length" flag tag. Across the front of the jersey is "NEW YORK" in navy blue on white tackle twill. On the back of the jersey is the number "46" in navy blue on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the black "5" to honor the death of Joe DiMaggio and below that is the black armband to honor the death of Jim " Catfish" Hunter. On the right sleeve is the 1999 World Series patch.The jersey is autographed on the front in blue marker and says in addition to the signature, "1999 Game Used." The signature rates a 9.
