Bernie Williams led the New York Yankees in a sweep of the Atlanta Braves in the 1999 World Series. His stellar play in centerfield helped the Yankees win their third championship in four years. Bernie, a career Yankee since 1991, collected three hits in the short four game series sweep. On the front left tail of this jersey is the "Russell" manufacturers tag with the jersey size "48" on it along with a series of flag tags attached reading "100% POLYESTER" and "2" EXTRA SLEEVE LENGTH". Below that is another tag that reads "WILLIAMS 99". Across the front of the jersey is "NEW YORK." On the back is the player number "51." All lettering and numbering is done in navy blue on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a black "5" patch to honor Joe Dimaggio and below this is a black armband to honor Jim "Catfish" Hunter. On the right sleeve is the embroidered official "1999 World Series" logo patch. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a Yankees-Steiner Collectibles COA.
