Coming to the Yankees as a star prospect in 1999, ALFONSO SORIANO led the league in runs, hits and stolen bases in 2002. A great hitter with a slugging percentage constantly near .500, he was traded to Texas in 2004 for Alex Rodriguez. This is Alfonso Soriano's 2001 NY Yankees game-used World Series road knit jersey. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" manufacturer's label with wash instructions. Attached is a white flag tag with size "46" and material "100% Polyester." Across the front of the jersey is "New York" done in blue on white tackle twill. On the back is the player's number "33" done in blue on white tackle twill. On the back neck is an American flag patch. On the left sleeve is the official "2001 World Series" patch, below which is a black armband done in elastic felt in memory of the victims of 9/11. On the right sleeve is the official "100 Seasons American League 1901-2001" patch. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a letter from Yankees-Steiner Collectibles.
