This Schutt official base was used at Yankee Stadium during the memorable July 1st, 2004 game between the Yankees and the Red Sox. DEREK JETER made one of the most unbelievable catches in Yankees history by diving into the third base stands to grab Trot Nixons' foul ball. Jeter not only saved two runs, but with his bruised face and split chin, Jeter proved why he is the captain. He was in the lineup the very next night. The base shows tremendous use and is signed across the top in black marker with the inscription "7-1-04 THE DIVE" rating a 7. There is an "MLB" logo plaque on two sides and a "Yankees" logo plaque on the other two sides. Underneath the base there is the original metal spine, two "Steiner" hologram logo stickers and a white "WARNING" sticker. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication and Yankees-Steiner Collectibles COA.
