The 2003 MLB All-Star game took place at U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox on July 15, 2003. The American League came away victorious with a 7-6 win. These are five batting practice jerseys from that year. Each participant was given two jerseys for workout that preceded the game and many signed and returned one to be sold to raise funds for charity. All are in near mint condition and show no apparent signs of usage. The National League jerseys are black and say "NATIONAL" in grey lettering outlined in red across the front. The name and number on the back have the same color sequence. There is an official 2003 All Star patch on the left sleeve and the patch of the players team on the right sleeve. The underarms are grey mesh. The jerseys included are Jose Vidro from the Montreal Expos autographed on the number "3" on the back in black marker rating a 6-7, Armando Benitez of the NY Mets signed on the "4" of "49" on the back in black marker rating a 7-8, Rondell White of the San Diego Padres signed on the "7" of "27" in black marker rating a 7 and Billy Wagner of the Houston Astros signed on the "3" of "13" in black marker rating a 6-7. The last jersey is from Ivan Rodriguez of the Texas Rangers in the American League. This jersey is white with black lettering outlined in grey, saying "AMERICAN" across the front. The All Star and team patches are the same. Rodriguez signed the "3" on the back of the jersey in silver marker rating a 7-8. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
