A commemorative home plate from Yankee Stadium with the teams facsimile signatures printed on it. It has a plastic covering and gold plaque on the upper portion reading " YANKEE STADIUM 'THE HOUSE THAT RUTH BUILT -50th- Anniversary 1923-1973 BRONX, N.Y." It appears to have been a gift for someone having the inscription "For Jay, Hoping you treasure their memory home plate from the greatest Stadium in baseball. John n Lindsay Christmas '73". The inscription is in green marker and the teams facsimile signatures are in black. The players include Thurman Munson, Mel Stottlemeyer, Bobby Murcer, Gene Michael, Graig Nettles, Whitey Ford and Sparpy Lyle. The home plate is in overall VG condition showing wear around the black rubber edges. The white of the plate is yellowed and the plastic covering is scuffed in the upper left corner.
