"Double X" Jimmie Foxx and the "Georgia Peach" Ty Cobb were two of the most prolific hitters to ever play the game. While Cobb is generally considered to be the best player of the "deadball" era, Foxx was one of the most feared sluggers of the day and still the youngest to reach the 500 home run mark. This cream colored Reach OAL Harridge baseball has been signed in blue ink on the sweet spot by HOF slugger Jimmie Foxx and on the side panel by the immortal Ty Cobb. The ball has also been signed by Bob Elliott (Pirates, Braves), HOFers Lefty Grove and Ray Schalk. Ball shows even toning with a light coat of shellack. The signatures are bold and extremely well preserved, with the Foxx and Cobb grading a 9, the Elliott a 9 to 10, and the Grove and Schalk both near-9s.
