This cream colored Spalding ONL Giles baseball has been signed in blue ink by 23 members of the 1953 National League All-Star team, who beat the American League 5 to 1 at Crosley Field. Signatures include manager Chuck Dressen on the sweet spot, coaches Jake Pitler, Billy Herman (HOF) and Cookie Lavagetto, Carl Furillo, Ralph Kiner (HOF), Jackie Robinson (HOF), Gil Hodges, Red Schoendienst (HOF), Stan Musial (HOF), Clyde McCullough, Ted Kluszewski, Dave Williams, Duke Snider (HOF), Enos Slaughter (HOF), Eddie Mathews (HOF), Gus Bell, Roy Campanella (HOF), Hoyt Wilhelm (HOF), Robin Roberts (HOF), Granny Hammer, Curt Simmons and Richie Asburn (HOF). Also on the ball are Ken Raffensberger (sweet spot) and Joe Black, who were not on the team. Ball shows even toning with signatures that grade an overall 8.
