David Ortíz consistently hits for power to all fields. For a slugger, he is a good two-strike hitter and a hard man to strike out. Ortiz is a heads up player who will try for the extra base at the right time. On the front left tail of this jersey is the "RUSSELL ATHLETIC" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions and four tags attached. The first reads "52 100% POLYESTER," the second "+2" EXTRA LENGTH", the third "+2" SLEEVE LENGTH," and the last "2004." Across the front of the jersey is "BOSTON." Across the back of the jersey is the player name "ORTIZ" on a grey nameplate. Below that is the player number "34." All lettering and numbering is done in red on black tackle twill. On the back of the collar is the official MLB logo patch. On the left sleeve is the Russell "R" logo. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
