Luis Aparicio helped to redefine the role and expectations of Major League shortstops with agile fielding, spray-hitting, and speedy base-running. He took Rookie of the Year honors in 1956, collected nine Gold Glove awards, led the American League in stolen bases nine seasons, and was named to the All-Star squad 10 times. On the inside front tail of this jersey is the "McAULIFFE" manufacturer's label. Below that label is a "38" size tag. Sewn above the manufacturer's label is a "1973" year tag (faded out). To the right of the label is the washing instructions tag. Player number "11" is sewn on the back of the jersey in red on blue tackle twill. Across the front of the jersey is the city name "BOSTON" in red on blue tackle twill. The jersey is autographed on front in blue marker and added "1973" and rates a 9. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
