A "good-field, no-hit" utility man, Tracewski trained as a shortstop in the Dodgers' system but provided insurance at three infield positions on three World Championship teams. He filled in brilliantly at second base in the 1963 and 1965 World Series. He started all four games of the Dodgers' 1963 sweep of the Yankees, and in Game 4, his fifth-inning diving stop for a force play in a then scoreless game was the defensive key to the Dodgers' eventual 2-1 victory. He served in the same capacity with the Tigers as he had in Los Angeles, and appeared in two games of the 1968 World Series. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's size "40" tag. Below that is "Tracewski 65" in script embroidered in blue. Across the front of the jersey is "Los Angeles" in script in blue felt. Below that on the left is the player number "44" in red felt. On the back of the jersey is the player number "44" in blue felt. The jersey shows game-use and there appear to be no alterations of any kind.
