Nicknamed the "Cobra," Dave Parker became an imposing hitter upon replacing Roberto Clemente in right field for the Pirates. He won the National League Batting Championship in 1977 with an average of .338, and commissioned one of these two pieces of jewelry thereafter. First is a gold 2" baseball bat necklace charm encrusted with 65 round diamond chips to read "338-77" on one side of the barrel and his initial "DGP" on the other. Comes with an 18" heavy chain made of 14K Italian gold. Next is a size 12-1/2 name ring cast in 18K gold that reads "Cobra" in 39 round diamond chips and six red gemstone chips. The bat and chain show very minor wear and grade NRMT, the ring shows some scratching and grades EXMT. Our consignor advises that these came from Parker himself.
