This size 9-1/2 ring is cast in 10K yellow gold and was given to players and front office personnel in honor of the New York Giants' league leading 221 team home runs in 1947, led by HOFer Johnny Mize's 51. On the top face of the ring is set an orange stone inlaid with a gold baseball diamond around "221." Around the ring face is "New York Giants, 1947 HR Record" in relief on a gold background. On the identical left and right shanks is a depiction of a baseball and bat with leaves in relief on a gold background. Inside the ring is stamped "10K" and engraved "Gene Thompson," ostensibly a front office employee. Ring shows some wear and is in overall EX condition.
