One of the most explosive scorers of his era, Bernard King had a fascinating career. Unfortunately, major knee reconstruction cost him two years at the peak of his career. He returned to the court despite great odds against a comeback, but had to adjust his style of play to accommodate his diminished physical abilities. Nevertheless, he proved many skeptics wrong when by becoming an All-Star for the first time after his return. He poured in more than 19,000 points in his career. On the front tail of the jersey is the "Medalist Sand-Knit" manufacturer's size "42" tag. On the inside back collar of the jersey is the "Cosby" distributors tag. Across the front of the jersey is "NEW YORK" in orange on blue tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "30" in orange on blue tackle twill. Across the back is "KING" in blue tackle twill. The jersey shows good game-use and, with the exception of the sleeves, appears to have no alterations of any kind.
